STRICTLY FOR GUYS!!! Guide to a Successful Relationship (on a daily basis)

My purpose is to help men with their heterosexual relationships. To lengthen, nurture, most especially strengthen the bonds between the male and female connection. To understand the woman for what she is, what she wants, what she needs. To be the greatest boyfriend if not the last boyfriend she will ever have.
I have learned all these things not just from my experiences but from others as well. I will impart this knowledge to those who want to make their relationship work. This knowledge shall not be used as a weapon, but as a guide to make this world a better place. For couples to last longer. For divorce to lessen. For women to be treated by men beyond his own.

For the true male, there is no greater thing than love for the opposite gender but in order for this to work, the female must also love you back. Such an affinity works both ways. As a male, we should understand how women work. It sounds offensive but there is no harm intended.

What do women really want from us guys? I'd say 80-90% of women want the same thing. The other 10-20% are either mentally ill, no regard for living, or just plain stupid. I used the term women for several reasons. Women are mature enough to understand the basic principles of a relationship. Women are as they themselves believe, are emotionally strong and stable but they are not. Most of all, women have, as much as emotional needs, intimate physical needs that must be nurtured and must be attended to most of the time if not all the time.

As a man, we should know at least 80% of the time how the woman psyche works. They have certain needs at certain times. Day, night, near, far, eating, sleeping, sometimes when she's angry, most of the time when she's sad. A man should be attentive, aware, and a little bit alert to certain tells, and to succeed, a man must get it right 60-80% of the time depending on the woman's feeling towards the man.

During the day, your duty as a man would include waking up before your woman. Why so? It most definitely is so, especially when you are still getting started with your relationship. Women want their man doing something for them even if it's still early in the morning. They find it very enticing to know that their man is thinking about them during the start of the day. Whether it's cooking breakfast, brunch, or just letting your hand graze over her arm. They feel loved and emotionally secured when this is done. For those who are still starting out, this act will be a big plus since this will start of her day with the sun smiling at her.

Throughout the day, be available to your woman as much as possible. Although they might not show it, they want to spend time with you even in the absence of words. Availability is a critical part in making a relationship work, especially for a guy. Guys, when we plan on playing our favorite video game and it just isn't there, doesn't that almost make you mad? This is the same for a woman more or less. Although she might not say how disappointed she is on not being able to make it for a party on a certain night, believe me, she is. This would often time come up in one of your future arguments because most women tend to record several mishaps but that's another topic.

When eating, never be greedy. Never ever lose focus on your woman especially when you are still early in your relationship. Even if you are starving to death. There is no excuse even if you say that you haven't eaten all day. If possible, try to share your food. Believe me, it works both ways. It's a win win situation. You get to taste her food and before you know it you're in an interesting conversation. Some women may find men who eat like they're dying, cute.  Although some might find it cute, the "some" is just 15-20% of women. The only key is to never lose your composure. This will make your woman feel very important because you are showing so much interest in her. For the one's who are in a relationship for quite some time, this area would be an exception although it never hurts to do a little of this here and there.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Not in a relationship it's not. In a relationship, dinner is the most important meal of the day. Actually, it's not the meal that's important. It's the time of the day. It is where you set the tone for her sleep. To make her feel wonderful and make her feel loved before she hits the hay. In a long day, the woman requires someone to say "you're so beautiful" and coming from you, that would mean the world to her. Dinner time is where she sums up the day. This is where she talks about how her day went, what happened at work, how exhausted she is. Guys, be careful with your words. This is one of the many times where she becomes sensitive in what you say. It might be because of something bad happening on that day, exhaustion, or stress, we never know. How will you know if you are using the right words? You don't, just do your best to be on her side and be logical and helpful at the same time and in my opinion, this is the hardest part to handle in a heterosexual relationship.

Example
Woman: My boss at work really hated my presentation, I don't know what I did wrong.

Response: I'm sure you did great, maybe he just had a bad day. I can help you next time if you want.
(it doesn't matter if you help her or not, it's the thought that counts)

Also, to add to the difficulty, the sense of touch is limited to holding hands depending on the sitting arrangement.

A little tip here. It would really help if you took care of dinner. Cooking is preferable but take out would be just fine.

Of course it doesn't end there. Such conversations from dinner shall be carried on to bed. Here it becomes easier. The bed is your friend. It is easier since in bed, the distance between you and your woman lessens. You can apply touch and that makes the woman relaxed and calm. This is key to making the woman feel great in the morning. Hug her, kiss her, let her know you are there for her no matter what. If everything would be done correctly, this offers a sense of security for the woman. Makes the woman feel lucky and realizes how important she is to you and thus, you are to her.

A lot will be going on in a woman's mind before she sleeps, except of course if she is too tired. Most of these thoughts still remain a mystery for us men but this is the time when she thinks about your future. Usually over thinks and suddenly asks questions followed by more questions and fortunately enough, could very seldom end up messy. Don't worry though, these questions are easy to handle. Just don't forget to say those sweet things, how much you love her and stuff.

That's it, one perfect day down. Hopefully more days to go. Constant effort isn't really a big deal if you love what you're doing. Surely, it's not advisable to do the same things over and over everyday. Change it up a bit. Go to the zoo, observatory, drink, party, movie, concert, you know what I'm talking about. In time you will get the hang of it and this whole post would just be second nature.

Paul: review (spoiler free Ü)

If you have read my previous review about battle LA, you should know by now that I'm the guy that loves extraterrestrial topics and whatnot.

I knew right away that I would love this movie right from the beginning and I was right. Two nerds from England take flight to America to participate in Comicon. After that, they decided to take on an alien expedition and stumbles upon Paul. (not a spoiler) The rest? Well, you have to find out for yourself. For those who want a good laugh. This is the movie that's perfect for you. For those who just had a few drinks and want to kill time before going home. For those who are very religious, well, you can watch but don't take the jokes too seriously. Okay? The humor is cleverly done. There are some swearing and cursing going on. So for those who are thinking of bringing their little kiddies  to watch a cute alien movie, FORGET IT! Unless you're cool with your kids using some of those s&%*t a$$ words.

Don't let the alien cover fool you. This movie is quite humorous and very enjoyable to watch. Especially with Seth Rogan's voice. As an alien fanatic, I give this movie an above average rating of 7.5. Would I watch this movie again? Heck yeah! Especially when I'm drunk! Small jokes occurring frequently and each of them never failed to give me a good laugh. Otherwise, it made me chuckle. Very cool movie indeed. For those who love watching Seth Rogan movies, you most definitely have to watch this!

Oh What A Night: Frankie Valli concert

This idea came from watching too much television. I encountered an ad that Frankie Valli is going to perform somewhere near my place. I told my girlfriend about it and lucky for us, she's free on that weekend!
If you don't know Frankie Valli, I don't blame you. He's got hits from the 60's down to the 90's. Even I didn't know him until I saw the Jersey Boys show in Las Vegas. Turns out I knew maybe 3 of his songs. Since then, I've become a fan. His high sharp voice is impeccable, not to mention the choreography they put into their performances. His 2 most famous hits as a solo artist were My Eyes Adore You, and Can't Take My Eyes Off You, but the peak of his career was being in the group called Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Their most famous hits are Walk Like A Man, Big Girls Don't Cry, Sherry, and Rag doll. Now you know who he is!

I was really hyped about it and before we knew it, we were there sitting at the farthest seats available. Not good seats? That's what I also thought. What was so cool about this concert other than being a Frankie Valli concert was it was indoors and you can eat and drink alcoholic beverages as often as you like. As the lights dimmed, everyone was shouting, and cheering their asses off. The band started off loud but at the same time smooth. After a while, an old little man with white hair came to the stage and there he was. Listening to his music through itunes, youtube, and cds. Now I can finally hear him live! This one has got to be one of the most awesome moments that ever happened since I got here.

Amazingly, his voice stayed the same. Everyone was enjoying the fine music that was surrounding the room, but what really made me smile were the old people getting off their seats and dancing while singing along. These folks grew up listening to his songs and it must've felt electrifying just listening to Frankie once again. Even though it was just four young guys instead of the original members, every performance was still delightful and amusing. Oh, about our seats? I realized we had the best seats in the house not just 'cause we can see the stage and the monitors very clearly, but also because we can see everyone having a good time. Nothing like seeing old people groovin'.

When he got off the stage some thought that the show was already over. So me and my girlfriend waited a little and then stood up. To our amazement, he came back to perform 3 more songs. Since we were already standing up, we just swayed along with everyone else, sang along, clapped our hands, having a great time.

Just like that, the show was already over. Oh what a night. To spend this amazing concert with someone really close to your heart made it extra special.

I kept thinking about those old people having a good time dancing along. Me and my girlfriend were talking about it and if we were going to be old and we would be in these guys' shoes, we'd be at a Black Eyed Peas concert rocking, rapping, and dancing like teenagers again.

Battle: LA review, spoiler free ;)

As soon as it came out, me and my girlfriend watched it right away. This movie got me excited 'cause I'm a guy who's really interested in extraterrestrials and all those stuff. You have to know, that this movie is not another version of 2012. It's simply about alien invasion and us being screwed if ever that happens. I was so looking forward to watching it, and having Ne-yo in the movie, is a plus for me.

Battle LA is a fast-paced, action packed film. Everyone were always on the move. The alien invasion, I would say, was very well thought off and very unique in a way. All the scenes were smartly done and every conversation hits you like you're in the movie yourself.
The acting you say? It's a freakin' alien-action movie, you don't need good acting to pull this one off.
The story? For me, as an alien fanatic, I rate the story as 6. There wasn't much story but the action and the tiny bits of drama more than made up for it (for me).

I recommend this movie not only to the extraterrestrial fanatics, but also to those who love military action flicks. Don't worry, the military wasn't dumb in this movie. Just so you know.

Anyways, I don't want to oversell this movie. Remember, I'm a person who's very interested in extraterrestrial   stuff. This particular subject really gets my juice flowing. We have our own preference. You might fall asleep when the movie gets fast and when things start exploding from left to right, but personally, this movie hits a solid 7 overall including my personal preference.

Japan Disaster: The Rest of the World's Wake Up Call

I've been watching the news as soon as I heard of the tragedy, and I must admit, it got me thinking about a lot of things. It opened my eyes about how blessed we are as human beings to have been given the chance to live in this beautiful world. A powerful being placed us all in this earth, and He can take us away if he so chooses.
I feel sad for the people in Japan. Especially to those who have been closest to the epicenter of the event. I pray everyday for everyone especially my family and friends to be safe, and just last night, my prayers just became more meaningful.
To those who are reading this, you are very lucky. Lucky enough to still be alive and to have been given another chance to reflect and be grateful of what you have. Fortunate enough to be able to take things more seriously and not take anything for granted.

Yes there has been news all over the place, but I'm not going to talk about that, let's just put it all aside for now. We may just be walking around thinking that everything is going to be alright but it's not. Let's accept the fact that as unpredictable as the world is, anything will happen at any time of day without notice. Just like that things will change. If you're fortunate enough, you might still be able to see these changes. Changes that may reduce mankind to absolute zero. We just never know.

We have been tested once again and we have been given, yet another chance of life. Will there be more disasters to come? Most likely. Will the future catastrophes be greater and much more destructive? Probably. Will we be ready for it? Not yet, and no matter how hard we try to prepare, it's all going to be futile. The most we can do for now is just continue to live life and make the most out of it. This is how we get ready. We don't necessarily have to make peace to all our enemies, but at least make your life happier for you and for others. Cherish where you are now and who you are with. Take pleasure in everything life has to offer.

Well, I'm sorry to say, that I guess we needed this disaster to make us remember and realize all the things that we just ignore. The things that makes this world a better place. Although we cannot see it, it has always been there. Glowing, or simply waiting to be nurtured. The bonds that we have with the ones we love, people we have met and forgotten. The bonds that simply defines us. The bonds that make us strong. The bonds that gives us the reason to live each day. The bonds that make this world a much, much better place to live in.

As much as how the earthquake made us feel its destructive power, it made us feel more than that of its physical dimension. It made us feel worried, worried for those who have been affected and are going to be affected by the  disaster. It made us feel sad, sad for those who have lost their families and friends and to those who are now struggling to survive. More importantly for the most part, it made us feel fear. Fear for the upcoming disasters this world has to offer. Never knowing what's going to happen next.

My prayers to all of the affected families and friends of the disaster. To all of Japan.
Make life worth living, for uncertainty is our live's biggest reality.

Lakers vs Heat: Revenge for the Lakers. Redemption for the Heat.

After a 16 point deficit against the Heat on their meeting last December. The Lakers wanted to take this one badly. Lakers have won 8 straight games in a row and were looking to add one more to the current streak. The Heat on the other hand were looking for a break with all the media tension, attention, and their 5 game losing steak. This game is as big as it gets.

Early in the game, the Heat caught fire. They got their 3 point shots to go down thanks to both Chalmers and Miller. Of all the fire engulfing the Heat, Chris Bosh was the guy early on scoring 16 points in the 1st half alone. Tonight, Bosh was a man on a mission. Although the Lakers were out-rebounded, they never let up. Kobe Bryant was hot right off the bat which is a very bad thing for the Heat. The Lakers were executing their plays offensively and were only down by 2 points at the end of the half 55-53. The Heat giving the opposing team their trademark, strong 1st half of the game.

Slow start at the second half for both teams mostly due to the increased defensive intensity. Trading buckets, the Lakers were never letting the lead go up to 5. As the clock was winding down in the 3rd quarter, Lebron James hits a big jumper to cut the lead to 2, making it 70-68 in favor of the Lakers.
The game was insanely close all the way. Trading buckets and trading leads, the Lakers' winning streak and more importantly, their pride, was  on the line. They did not want to get swept in their season series, not this team.
The Lakers were down 4 in the last minute of the game. Dwyane Wade making big plays in both ends while Kobe committing 2 turnovers that could cost them this game. The Heat now in a position of ending the Laker streak or find a way to lose this big one. 30 seconds remaining and in an attempt to make this game close, Kobe shot deep deep 3 pointer and missed. Unfortunately for the Laker fans, the Heat finally won with a final score of 88-94. The Heat held the Lakers to 40% shooting and played their best defense when it counted most. They kept the Lakers off the glass giving them plus 9 on the rebounds department.

A much needed win for the Heat especially on a close game. El Heat's new focus? Build up on this win, quiet the media, and prove that they do have a chance in the running of becoming the NBA champs.

Lakers: Kobe, 6th All-Time Scoring Leader

Looking to sweep the season series against the Hawks and creep in a little closer to the 2nd place Mavericks, they looked to win their 8th straight game coming out of the All-Star break. As the game starts you notice the game's fast paced tempo right away trading buckets early in the game. But as soon as the game progressed, the Lakers pulled away little by little and held on to take the win 101-87.

Great defense resulting to only under 40% shooting by the Hawks. Good bench production especially from Lamar Odom. In the paint intimidation offensively and defensively. The major thing though is having to take advantage of their size. Other than the difference in number of rebounds and blocks, the Laker bigs are altering the inside shots of the Hawks thanks mostly to the 23 yr old Andrew Bynum. Bynum had 16 points and 16 huge rebounds for another amazing performance.
Great offensive performance by the Lakers having dominate the paint shooting at a very high 58% in the 1st half and 50% overall.

Another historical moment for the Mamba. Kobe Byrant moves past Moses Malone for 6th place in the all time scoring list. Being part of the top ten in any statistic's list is a great feat in itself. 6th in the scoring list? Now that's another story. Scoring 26 points the entire game and another strong 15 point 1st half for the future hall of famer. Next target? His former teammate, 4 time NBA champion, Shaquille O'neal. I don't expect Kobe to get past him anytime this year, unless he gets a little more than a thousand points by the end of the season that is.

These are the Lakers that we saw play in the 1st 2 weeks of the season. Looks like they're looking more and more like back to back champs. It's impossible to defeat these guys if they continue to perform like this. Next stop, south beach, where the Heat embarrassed the Lakers on Christmas day. A must watch and must win game for the both teams! Don't even think about missing this one!

Lakers Back in Championship Shape?

What happened to the Spurs? They got Lakered!!! Yeah, that's a word. Lakers dominated the Spurs 99-83. The game was one-sided from start to finish. Knowing their advantage in length, knowing that they needed to limit their turnovers, they were ready to win right from the get go. Amazing performance by the Lakers this afternoon. They had an advantage on the boards, and more importantly they weren't missing. Shooting at 46% from the field and just committing 7 turnovers.

Kobe set them on fire with his consistent scoring having scored 26points shooting 12 for 25, 17 points in the 1st half alone.
The biggest factor in this game? The youngest player ever to play in the league Andrew Bynum with 17 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Not only that, he poses a threat down the paint. The Spurs guards are having a hard time getting their shots off down the block with young Bynum just standing by to alter or block each and every one of them.
Great overall performance by the Lakers with each player contributing to the huge win. The only thing right now is to continue to focus and be hungry. These guys have targets on their backs and they know it. Phil Jackson must be enthusiastic about this win.

As Magic Johnson said during the interview "this is the best game the Lakers have played, as a collective team this season". But are they in championship shape? Were they just lucky to get most of their shots to go down early? On great teams the shots doesn't matter as much as defense, and tonight, we saw the Laker defense and rebounding power against the undersized Spurs. I can't say if they really are in their championship state yet but they certainly are moving in the right direction. Truly amazing to watch for Laker fans. If they continue to perform this well on the defensive end and continue to dominate the boards, a 3-peat is going to be big possibility.

The Lakers played to prove something tonight and they put a stamp on this game directly indicating that "only because they had the best record doesn't mean they are the better team". Can't wait for the Lakers vs Heat on thursday!!!

Trip Back Home

Okay, so after a night of sushi and drinking me and my girlfriend went back to her uncle's place to settle, sleep, and go back to my place the next day which is a good hour and a half drive.

The next day after breakfast and a morning of snuggling(it's just how i roll so deal with it). We went on our way to my place. Stopped by Best Buy and oh wait, if we stop by Best Buy then we'll be taking the back road through the mountain on Highway 300 something! So i thought, it's okay, it's going to be a fun ride, and so we were off!

We were going through these single lane roads and all of a sudden, on a hot sunny day everything went white,
no we didn't get into an accident. IT WAS SNOWY!!! all the fields were white, the roof of the cars coming our way had snow on them, the roofs of the houses were covered in snow, it was an unexpected and at the same time phenomenal view considering I'm living in California. So my girlfriend took out her Nikon fancy camera (one of those things you use in modeling or art photography and stuff) and behold, there was no battery inside. I chuckled and like a good boyfriend, comforted her. She left it at my place, but fortunately she had her old digital camera so everyone's happy! She was taking pictures of everything, and I mean everything! Don't get me wrong, she has a knack for taking great pictures. Anyways, i couldn't look at them now 'cause I was driving around 40-60mph and the road was quite narrow and so we just went on. Me driving, her taking pictures. Suddenly we were at 5,000 ft elevation! and the view was awesome, we had to stop somewhere to take pictures.

The first stop wasn't that successful, we couldn't see everything, but the second one was awesome. It was built for people to take pictures, the place had a few parking space and all so yeah, it was awesome. We got off the car, take out the tripod and it's picture time! On our way to the ledge we see this big dog on the pickup truck, it was a husky i thought, and i asked the owner what breed it was and guess what, IT'S A WOLF!!! a big ass wolf! Not to mention it's just 10mos old. Me and my girlfriend were taking pictures of the wolf whose name was bison or vincent, whatever, sounds the same when it's your first time to touch a wolf, and it was really a fun and enjoyable moment having to pet a wolf like your own dog. Unfortunately, they had to leave. Were we too annoying? Either way, we don't care. Now it was our turn to take our pictures. Here and there and wait, the Oscars are tonight, we should get going.

On the way we were talking about how awesome our trip back home was. For all we knew this day was just going to be an ordinary road trip, but we were proven wrong. We made it home safe obviously 'cause i lived to tell the tale. One thing, you should bring a camera, or in our case a spare camera, everytime. EVERYTIME!!!
